The Theme of the day: Building
This is a building that is very dear to me, it was here that I was born in the 70s.
More than half the population of Lisbon in the second half of the twentieth century, was born in this building, which i affectionately call "aviary".
The Alfredo da Costa Maternity (MAC) is a building built and inaugurated on December 5, 1932 and was the first Maternity build from the root in Lisbon.
Dr Alfredo da Costa was a physician and professor of medicine and obstetrics pioneer in Portugal. He died in 1910, and was the main booster to the creation of this building. Never got to see it built.
